In this class game, the students work together and try to get the highscore.
The class plays against opponents that are randomly chosen from the seasonal list (e.g. Rewarding Altruist, Vengeful Egoist).
In every round the players meet one of the opponents and offer a percentage of points to him/her. The opponent can accept or reject the offer according to fixed behavioral rules.
Take care, since the opponents memorize the player's offers and might bite back in the next rounds. Hence, the players have to communicate their efforts to each other to obtain a better total score.
Waltzing Numbers can also be played alone. Then, the player has to memorize the previous rounds to be successful.
Note: Waltzing numbers is a special implementation of the ultimatum game from game theory.
